Palestine Solidarity Statement

The Generator Committee stands with the people of Palestine in demanding an immediate end to Israeli aggression and condemning Western support of the ongoing genocidal occupation.

We are signatories of the PACBI pledge and you can see our BDS policy here.

We will be closed on Saturdays from 2-3pm in solidarity with the demonstrations happening across the country.

If arts organisations claim cultural relevance, it is imperative that we use our platforms responsibly and stand up to injustice. Decolonisation is not a metaphor, and silence is not an option.

Pushing back against dominant and directly harmful media narratives is integral to meaningful art, but the responsibility for this should not fall only on those directly affected. It is up to institutions to take a stance and bear witness to these atrocities.

We recognise the crimes against humanity faced by the Palestinian people and join the growing chorus of voices demanding:

- An immediate ceasefire

- The immediate release of appropriate humanitarian aid

- An immediate end to the settler-colonial occupation of Palestine.
