FUNDED PROGRAMME
Generator’s funded programme is operated through a mixture of open calls and invitations. We pay artist fees at SAU rates, Unfortunately, the funded programme is not available to those currently in full-time study.
Please note we have a very full calendar at the moment and aren’t able to accept proposals for the funded programme but if you are interested in Generator hosting your work, please consider sending a proposal for a takeover. Please limit proposals to 500 words and not more than six images.
TAKEOVERS
Our Takeovers project lets members use the Generator galleries or Community Space for free to run events or exhibitions. These are short (usually one day to two weeks) unfunded projects that run in the gaps between our main, funded programme.
We are currently programmed fully for 2024. We will be changing the way we programme takeovers soon to make the process more transparent, with larger blocks of time available to use for members. Please keep an eye on our website and socials for updates!
COMMUNITY SPACE
The Community Space is a free bookable space open to our membership to use for meetings, talks and everything in between. Seating, tea and coffee-making facilities and a microwave are available and speakers and projectors can be provided upon request. We are working on making the Community Space more welcoming with comfier seating and a zine library - keep an eye on our Instagram for updates!
OPERATIONAL COMMITTEE
For callouts for full Operational Committee Member roles please keep an eye on our social media and newsletter.
ASSOCIATE COMMITTEE
If you are interested in being a part of the Generator team but can’t dedicate the time needed to be on the Operational Committee (or are still studying) consider being a part of our Associate team! Associates help with install and destall of exhibitions, and are occasionally offered paid postering and invigilation shifts at living wage. If you’re interested, let us know at associates@generatorprojects.co.uk.
ARCHIVE
Generator proudly hosts an archive of its 25+ year history. We encourage our members to utilise this collection, which includes publications, films, prints, posters, audio works, and photography, for research purposes. If you’d like to use the archive, get in touch at mail@generatorprojects.co.uk.
