EXHIBITION PREVIEW & SCOTTISH PREMIER OF '3 Church Walk', a film by Emily Richardson: 24th October, 19:00 - 21:00
CONTINUES: 25th October - 9th November (Thurs - Sunday 12:00 - 17:00)
'The City of Dundee is located in a 'ludicrously ideal' setting on the banks of the River Tay' - www.dundeewaterfront.com/Dundee/
Intended as an initial response to Dundee's Waterfront redevelopment - it's aims to become a City of Design and a concern about a lack of criticality around the city-wide decisions being made - 'VIEW' will focus on the physical, social and economic infrastructure of a city as a large scale design process. The exhibition will include both installed and event-based artworks which, through their own processes, highlight a relation that can occur between design and contemporary art; functionality and aesthetics; question posing and problem solving.
Including: Banner Repeater with works and publications by Tyler Coburn, Anna Barham and Bridget Crone, Ami Clarke and Richard Cochrane, Erica Scourti, and Yuri Pattison with a text by Vladimir Odoevsky; Jonathan Baxter and Sarah Gittins (DUO), Nicolas Carrier, Dean Crawford and Henri Meadows, Ilana Mitchell (Wunderbar), Magnus Popplewell and Emily Richardson.
*** The screening of '3 Church Walk' is kindly supported by LUX Scotland ***
